I’m Clara Mittiga, a Clinical Psychologist with 10 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and adults. Throughout most of my career I have worked at Davies and Robertson Psychology alongside my role at the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS). I also have experience working in schools with the Department of Education and Child Development and in research and evaluation, giving me a well-rounded perspective on evidence-based care.

I hold a Master in Psychology (Clinical) and am committed to using research-backed approaches to support individuals in overcoming challenges. My therapeutic approach incorporates Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based therapies, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Schema Therapy-informed techniques And Circle of Security Parenting Intervention. I also teach practical strategies such as progressive muscle relaxation, social skills, and emotion regulation techniques, helping individuals build lasting resilience.

I take a warm, collaborative, and non-judgmental approach, tailoring therapy to the unique needs, strengths, and developmental stage of each individual. I understand that every child, teenager, and adult I work with has their own perspective, challenges, and family dynamics.

As a mum of three young children, I deeply appreciate the joys, challenges, and uncertainties that come with parenting. This lived experience, combined with my professional expertise, enriches my understanding of human development and the ways in which mental health, emotions, and behaviour evolve across different life stages.

I strive to create a safe, calm, and engaging space where individuals feel comfortable expressing themselves. My goal is to help them experience more enjoyment and confidence, develop coping skills, and navigate life’s challenges with greater resilience.

I work with individuals experiencing:

  • Anxiety & Panic Attacks (including Social Anxiety & Separation Anxiety)

  • Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
  • Depressed Mood & Low Self-Esteem
  • Anger Management & Behavioural Concerns
  • Trauma & Attachment Difficulties
  • School-Related Challenges (School Refusal, Friendship Difficulties)
  • Sleep Problems
  • Emotional Regulation Issues
  • Parenting challenges

Whether you’re seeking support for yourself or your child, I am here to help.
